"Reproduction furniture", "solid wood and "quality craftsmanship" are, without a doubt, the most widely abused terms in furniture making today. It seems everyone is making these claims!  A trip to "Mennonite" country or any other furniture shop armed with the knowledge of what to look for will quickly reinforce this fact. While the beauty of a piece is important, it is only one part of what makes up a quality reproduction which will last for generations, not just another facsimile destined for the landfill.

Quality furniture is an investment, and as with all other investments, take your time before deciding.  Look around and compare value, ensuring that you're comparing "apples to apples".  Ask plenty of questions, and don't hesitate to examine a piece over thoroughly.  Because my name goes on each piece, I make sure that every Heritage House original is made with the highest standards of craftsmanship in mind. The features found on the following pages are incorporated into every piece I build, and should be sought after when choosing a furniture builder.

Please feel free to use the information found in these Traditional Construction Methods pages when shopping around to ensure that your are truly buying a well constructed, quality piece of furniture.

"After looking around, no one came close in style, quality or value."
